“Our rugs narrate today’s world using ancient language”
A symbol with the strength to enhance the centralizing role of the carpet in contemporary furnishings and reviving ancient images that refer to buildings often destroyed by time, the iconography of the labyrinth woven on the surface of a carpet appeared, for the first time, on the great exhibition Labyrinths on the Rug, held in Turin in 1991. On this occasion, Stile BK proposed an unprecedented reinterpretation of various labyrinths types, located in distant times and places.
(Torino, 1960)
Slogans, sport brands and musical lyrics are interwoven onto the surface of the rug; icons of everyday
life saturated with sounds, images and words.
Carol Rama
A perfect fusion between the domestic nature of a rug and the anarchical and irreverent instinct
that has always fed the work of a great artist.
